SILVIA MENDEZ

 Learn the story of Silvia Mendez and @unstoppabletwinseeuu! Silvia fled Venezuela with Samuel and Matías when they were 11 months old. At 18 months, they were diagnosed with autism. Since then, she has dedicated 9 years to studying, attending workshops, and consulting with experts to support her children. Driven by her passion, Silvia created Unstoppable Twins, a platform to guide neurodiverse families. For the past 4 years, she has organized the Autism Congress in Miami, providing education and support. Thanks to her work, Silvia has been recognized as Super Mom by the city of Doral and won the Latino Entrepreneur USA Award in 2022. Meet ”South”, a 20-year-old autistic artist who sculpts his art in clay. His passion began at the age of 3 from a tantrum in a restaurant. Since then, South hasn’t stopped creating, using only his hands to bring incredible characters and worlds to life. His works are a message of acceptance and understanding, an invitation to celebrate differences and build a more inclusive world. Follow his journey and support his art @southsculptures. The Chocolate Spectrum

Meet Valerie and Blake, mother and son. Together, they bring to life The Chocolate Spectrum, a project where artisanal chocolate becomes possibilities for people with autism. Valerie, a speech pathologist, and Blake, her nonverbal autistic son, embarked on this adventure in 2013. Together, they have the mission to empower people with autism through learning and employment in the chocolate world. How can you also support this initiative?
